Bio/Description

Synai Ferrell is a member of the class of 2026. She is pursuing a major in African American Studies with a minor in Journalism. Her interest in African American Studies was inspired by her passion for learning about social issues that impact the Black community and writing about their stories. Some of her research interests include the representation of Black people in media and exploring how Black contributions to art, food, music, and folklore have inuenced the cultural development of the United States.

On campus, she is a sta writer for the Daily Princetonian and a member of RAQS Dance Company. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, watching YouTube, and listening to music and podcasts.

In the future, Synai wants to become a journalist and create work that reects the rich history of the Black diaspora.
