Bio/Description

Michael Beyea Reagan is an historian of racial capitalism and author of Intersectional Class Struggle: Theory and Practice published in 2021. He received his PhD from the University of Washington where his work focused on the material and cultural roots of the 1975 New York City fiscal crisis His forthcoming work is a cultural history of municipal finance with attention to the changing regimes of racial capitalism in New York City.  He teaches at Princeton University in the Department of African American Studies, at Rutgers University in the School of Management and Labor Relations, and the University of Washington.
