Bio/Description
Born and raised in New York City, Daniel is a member of the class of 2026, majoring in African American Studies (AAS) and pursuing minors in Gender and Sexuality Studies and Creative Writing.
Drawn to the AAS department as a home for revolutionary thought on Princeton's campus, Daniel's research interests lie at the intersections of race and gender, with a particular focus on Black queer and trans studies. He has been awarded the Freshman First Honor Prize and the Shapiro Prize for Academic Excellence.
Outside of the classroom, Daniel is a Writing Center Fellow and the founder of Positions, Princeton's only Asian diaspora student publication. He is also an avid distance runner and subway/train enthusiast!
