Writing a winning proposal can be a catch-22. You must successfully write a proposal for a fellowship or grant before you can be invited to review proposals — even though reviewing proposals is in fact the best way to learn how to write them. In this workshop, we'll circumvent the paradox by using readers' expectations of language, science, and argument to analyze the elements of effective proposals.
