Event Description

Christina is a dedicated police officer investigating a murder on a remote farm. As she delves deeper into the case, she uncovers not only the truth behind the crime but also her own family’s history, intertwined with the haunting legacy of colonisation and the brutal Herero genocide that occurred during the early 20th century.

‘Under the Hanging Tree’ was selected as Namibia’s first ever submission to the Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.
