Event Description

This event focuses on the historical and ongoing exploitation of the Congo's people and imperialist extraction of its resources. Amid current crises of hunger, violence, and poverty, we have invited Yolian Ogbu, an NYU graduate student researching the exploitation of Congolese workers, and Maurice Carney from the organization Friends of the Congo of  the humanitarian crisis and history of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This event aims to foster discussion, raise awareness, and build solidarity within the Princeton community, offering an opportunity for meaningful engagement with these issues. We hope to see you there!”
