Please join the African American Studies department for our fall colloquium, “Accounting for Inequality” as we discuss the relationship between statistics and Black studies, and engage recent work by esteemed panelists:

  • Zinzi Diana Bailey (The University of Miami, The Medical School)
    • Research focuses on the intersection of public health and criminal justice (Edit or Delete so it matches the other colloquium
  • Courtney Cogburn (The Columbia School of Social Work, Columbia University)
    • Research focuses on measuring racism and augmenting racial bias through virtual reality
  • Louise Seamster (The University of Iowa)
    • Research focuses on race and debt
