Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul by Eddie Glaude Jr. is released by Crown. (January 12th, 2016)

From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation by Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor is released by Haymarket Books. (January 23rd, 2016)

AWARDS

Chika Okeke-Agulu has been awarded the Mather prize for art criticism by the College Art Association for his book, Postcolonial Modernism: Art and Decolonization in 20th-Century Nigeria.

Judith Weisenfeld received recognition for her paper, “‘Real True Buds:’ Celibacy and Same-Sex Desire Across the Color Line in Father Divine’s Peace Mission Movement,” from the LGBT Religious Archives Network.
